Ouch

That is all.

Daft Emo Chick.

A friend told me to give warning when I post because my vagueness is so depressingly emo that they need to find a place where they can be alone and hurt for me. I laughed.  It's easy to misinterpret what's being said indirectly, and it gives rise to a lot of wondering. Most of my posts, however, are not from depressing drama in my life, though apparently my poor communication is easily interpreted that way. Mostly it's just brain blurbs written too late in the evening.

Tax Day

1. ACV shot to start the morning. Not good on an empty stomach. 2. Almost passed out after the nurse took my blood for the lab test.  3. Made up for it with a chai tea latte and a blueberry scone. 4. Shared a slightly uncomfortable lunch with my middle boss to celebrate the day. BBQ. Still yummy. 5. Tiny creepy crawly things invaded my office space.  Ick. 6. Talked to lots of people I hadn't seen in ages. 7. Said goodbye to an old friend. 8.  Made a fool of myself. Again. 9. Taxes. 10. Extension. 11. Forgot about lesson. 12. Made my Mom sad about taxes and money.  :( 13. All day happy hour at Sonic. 14. My Dad made the airport delivery. 15. Getting to sleep. Finally.

Today I

... sat in a room with a bunch of people all connected through bad decision making, and was told it was unusual that we all got along and liked each other and worked together.  I just assumed that was how it was supposed to be!  LOL.  I am too surprised at humanity it seems. . ... watched as a woman declared her intentions to voluntarily walk away from the best things she has ever accomplished, and will ever help create.  I feel nothing but sorrow and pity for her, and for what she could have been, if only.  And therein the phrase, "there but for the grace of God, go I" becomes even more of a reality.  OH! How different my life could have been! . ... am in some ways scared that the future holds BIG things that I can't hold, yet Knowing God is in control. . ...realize that I may have to fight for what God wants to give me, because even the Israelites had to fight to conquer the Promised Land. . ...held up my pants with a safety pin. . ...talked. and talked. ...

Burning

Utilizing apple cider vinegar for its antibiotic treatment qualities, even at half strength, is not always pleasant. It burns like fire in the eyes! . The kids had burning questions to ask me this evening.  It's definitely more information than I wish they had knowledge to ask about for at least another few years.  I did answer, but there are just some things you can't fully explain to an 8 and 9 year old no matter what they've actually seen or heard. . Woe is me.  I took on another tax return this year and they are going to OWE MONEY.  It's not my fault, but now I'm trying to wrack my brain for all kinds of remote possibilities for other deductions before I end up breaking the bad news to them.  They are so not going to be happy.  I am so not going to enjoy saying it to them!!! . I have a collection of abandoned pen and pencils.  A new pen, pencil, crayon, or marker makes me very happy.  If I'm having a bad day, or I just want a change, I sometim...

Fostering Expectations

Some friends did a lovely thing this evening.  They planned a secret photo shoot for my kids.  I'm glad and excited to see how it turned out! . I have wonderful friends. . I put the kids to bed forever late past their bedtime because I forgot I hadn't changed the time forward on the clock hanging on the wall.  I hope we aren't sorry tomorrow. . Tomorrow the kids get to go take spring pictures with two of their younger siblings.  They wanted to know if their mom was going to be there.  I don't think she is, but nobody said for sure. . Tonight's bible story was partially about the Foolish Nabal and his wife Abigail.  In this particular Action Bible version, David states that he is going to ask Abigail to marry him.  My oldest said, "You have to ask someone to marry you?  Wouldn't you be scared?  Isn't that scary?"  :D  Great unexpected opportunity to explain how that should work...VERY CAREFULLY.  The kid was very traumatized by ...

Stu ck in the heart

The only words that keep repeatedly showing up in big marquee lettering in my head all evening?  "Say something, I'm giving up on you." Nice. It's like it's twitching and replaying on a loop on the backside of my left eyeball.  Which amazingly enough is the side looking at you. . The back alley dark while the movie reel stuttering on the big screen throws the scene of some noir film while the music plays crooked lyrics at me.
